Eastern Suburbs School of Music (ESSM) provides music lessons to all ages from beginner to expert level on guitar, bass, drums and keyboard. Our teachers are leaders in their field, performing on national and international stages and being repected musicians and educators. Each brings their own unique talents and personalities to their classes creating an energetic and fun learning environment.

ESSM opened its music doors in Ringwood East in 1975 as a one man show operating from a separated home studio teaching classical guitar and accordion. As demand for music lessons increased more teachers were added and by the early 1980′s we were also teaching drums, flute and clarinet.

In 1994 the management of ESSM became involved with KC’s Rock Shop in Boronia and moved the school to a residential house that was used as a creative and progressive music school. By this time, ESSM was teaching a variety of styles in guitar (with a total of 5 accomplished guitar teachers), bass guitar (from a dedicated bass teacher, not just a guitar teacher who dabbles with bass), keyboard and drums.

In December 2006, ESSM moved to new premises at 3/10 Floriston Road, Boronia which offers a large, comfortable waiting area and 5 separate studios. Each studio is fully equipped with appropriate audio and amplification equipment to make your lesson a wonderful experience.
