 Payment schedule: All lessons are private one on one half hour sessions. Most teachers charge $24.00 per half hour lesson. In recent years ESSM has acquired several specialist teachers and they charge $26.00. All lessons are paid for in ten week blocks so $240/$260 covers you for 10 weeks. Payment must be by cash or cheque. We do not have credit card facilities at the music school. We do not teach during school holidays or on public holidays. As you have your weekly lesson the teacher ticks it off and when your ten lessons have all been used, it’s your call. You may decide to book another ten lessons or you may not. If you re-book another ten lessons you can do this direct with your teacher. We are more than happy for you to ring your teacher and say “My lesson clashes with something else on the agenda this week”. If the teacher has a spare time slot available he or she will most certainly offer it to you. We don’t want $24.00 for nothing. However, if the lesson is not made up during that week, it is forfeited. All initial enquiries must be made by calling Heinz on 9761 3099 or 04 0707 5942. After you have booked in with Heinz, you will be given the name and contact details of your teacher. From then on, if you can’t make a lesson, or you’re running late, or you left your music book or your sunglasses in the studio, all further contact must be made direct with the teacher. In the event of two members of the same family wanting lessons, the fee will be $30.00 per half hour. It is only under the above circumstance that ESSM will give any form of group tuition IF YOU MISS A LESSON AND IT IS NOT MADE UP THAT WEEK YOU WILL BE CHARGED FOR IT. |
